Booking and payment

A deposit holds your seat.

The deposit depends on the trip. On the trips on sale today it is $500, $1,000, €500 or €1,000. Each destination page shows the amount for that trip.

After that you pay in stages, not in one payment before you fly. Here is every step, so nothing comes as a surprise.

01

Tell us your trip and your city

Tell us where you want to go, roughly when, how many of you are going, and which city you fly from. The city matters more than people expect. Most of our tours leave from Lahore and Islamabad. If you live somewhere else, we arrange your connection so it does not become a problem later.

02

We confirm the price and what it includes

We send it in writing, naming the hotel, the meals, the flights and the visa. The price we quote is the price on the website.

03

Pay the deposit to hold your seat

The deposit for your trip is on its destination page, and we confirm it in writing before you pay. A group trip has a limited number of seats. They are held in the order bookings are confirmed, not the order people ask about them.

04

We start your visa

We send you your document checklist straight away. Your flights and hotels are already booked, which several embassies want to see before they will look at an application.

05

Pay the rest in two instalments

You do not pay it all at once the week before you fly. After the deposit, the rest is split into two payments, and the dates are in your booking confirmation.

If it falls through, we keep nothing of our own.

IBEX charges no processing fee and no cancellation fee of its own. Whatever comes off is what the airline or the embassy keeps, and we show you what it was.

Ask us for the figure on your own trip before you pay anything, and we will put it in writing. The full details are on the booking terms page, including what an airline usually keeps once a ticket has been issued.

Where a trip publishes its own child fare, that fare is the one that applies and it is printed on the trip's own page.

There is no age limit on our tours. Everyone is allowed, at any age, and children travel at a child fare.

Northern Pakistan tours work differently

These tours are priced in rupees. You pay 50 percent in advance to hold your seat, and the rest before departure. There is no visa, so everything happens much sooner.

Four things not on the website yet.

We will publish them once they are properly written down. Until then, ask us before you pay and we will send them to you in writing.

  • When each instalment is due

We know the rest is paid in two instalments. When each one is due, counted from your departure date, is not published yet.

  • The deposit in rupees

Most of our travellers pay in rupees. The dollar figure is the one in the contract.

  • How to pay

Bank transfer, card or another way, and to which account.

  • Cancellation

What you get back and what you do not, and how that changes as departure gets closer. One part is already settled: none of it is a charge of ours.

We would rather tell you this than print a schedule here that turns out not to be the one you are held to.
