Our own north, run the same way as everywhere else.

These trips are entirely inside the country. There is no embassy queue and nothing to apply for before you go, which makes them the easiest tours we run for anyone travelling with a group for the first time. They are quoted and invoiced in rupees, and you will not find a dollar figure on any of them.

The north has a season and the roads decide it rather than we do, so wherever we have established it, it is printed against the trip below. Where we have a settled price it is on the page as typed text. Where we have not, the row says so in those words rather than showing you a number we would have to withdraw later.

Chitral and Kalash

Day by day, and what the price covers

Chitral, the Kalash valleys and Chitral Gol

Our own north, run properly. Chitral town, the three Kalash valleys and a national park where markhor still come down the slope, priced in rupees at PKR 112,000 per adult and PKR 65,000 for children aged 2 to 8, verified 12 August 2026.

Skardu

What we know about this one

Baltistan, on the upper Indus

Skardu town, the valleys that run off it and the Deosai plateau above them, run as a group tour and quoted in rupees.

The season, roughly
April to OctoberRoughly April to October, and the roads decide that rather than we do. The plateau above the town is the part that opens late and closes early, because the snow on it does. Ask us where the edges actually fall in the year you are thinking of rather than planning around these two months.

Hunza

What we know about this one

The Hunza valley and Gojal, up to Khunjerab

Karimabad and the forts above it, Attabad Lake, Passu and the road on up to the Khunjerab Pass, run as a group tour and quoted in rupees.

The season, roughly
Hunza is not one season, so we are not printing a window on this page. The valley road is open for far more of the year than the pass at the top of it is, the blossom in spring and the colour in autumn are what most people go for, and our own archive has us running a November departure up to Khunjerab. Tell us the month you are thinking of and we will tell you honestly what is open in it.
